On February 5th, 2021, Governor Wolf signed into law Senate Bill 109 that allocates $145 million to support the newly created COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program (CHIRP).  Under this program, businesses within the hospitality industry sectors that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for grants to help alleviate revenue losses and pay eligible operating expenses.

The application process is now open. 

The business must meet certain eligibility criteria to apply:

          • Located in Wayne County, PA
          • Operates within NAICS Code 721 (Accommodations) or 722 (Food Services and Drinking Places)
          • Has fewer than 300 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs)
          • Has a tangible net worth of less than $15 million.
          • Has been in operation since February 15, 2020
